Friday, June 30th marks the opening of 20th Century Fox's The Devil Wears Prada. The film, based on the novel by Lauren Weisberger of the same name, follows the life of an assistant who works for a woman that could very well be the "boss from hell". The author based the story on her own life as she once worked for Anna Wintour, the dominating & powerful editor of Vogue magazine.
The film stars Meryl Streep as Miranda Priestly, the dominating & powerful editor and chief of Runway magazine and Anne Hathaway, who protrays Andy Sachs, the assistant character modeled after Weisberger's career under Wintour. Put a real life situation in the script and then add 2 brillant actresses and you've got yourself the perfect date movie for friends & lovers.
Gays and Ladies, be sure to watch out for the now extra beefy Australian actor, Simon Baker, most recently seen in Something New & Land of the Dead. He plays Christian "the writer" who just happens to be the love interest for Anne Hathaway's character. He will take your breath away in his designer suits come June 30th.
